3 Key Upcoming Road Projects
1-Hessa Street Expansion:
One of the key projects in the pipeline is the expansion of Hessa Street. This development will stretch over 4.5 kilometers, starting from its intersection with Sheikh Zayed Road and extending to Al Khail Road. Once completed, it is expected to significantly enhance the road’s capacity, accommodating up to 16,000 vehicles per hour.

This 3-kilometer stretch, running from the Infinity Bridge ramp to Cairo Street, will see the construction of three underpasses covering 1.65 kilometers. These underpasses are projected to have an estimated capacity of around 12,000 vehicles per hour, further enhancing the city’s traffic flow.

Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on the impressive growth of Dubai’s road network, which has expanded by an astounding 115 percent. From 8,715 lane-kilometers in 2006, it has surged to 18,768 in 2022.
