Dubai’s Salik toll system will adopt variable pricing starting January 31, 2024, bringing a more dynamic structure to road tolls based on peak and off-peak hours. This update aims to manage traffic flow more effectively and improve the driving experience across the city.

Salik Toll Rates

Reading Suggestion: How To Check Hafilat Card Balance

Weekdays

  • Morning (6 AM – 10 AM)
  • Evening (4 PM – 8 PM)
  • Toll Fee: Dh6

Off-Peak Hours:

  • Between 10 AM and 4 PM
  • Between 8 PM and 1 AM
  • Toll Fee: Dh4
  • Late Night (1 AM – 6 AM): Free

Sundays

Toll fee is Dh4 throughout the day (from 6 AM to 1 AM) except during public holidays, major events, or special occasions.

  • Late Night (1 AM – 6 AM): Free

Ramadan Toll Rates

During the holy month of Ramadan, toll timings and charges will be adjusted:

  • Weekday Peak Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM (Dh6)

Off-Peak Hours:

  • 7 AM – 9 AM
  • 5 PM – 2 AM the following day (Dh4)
  • Late Night (2 AM – 7 AM): Free

On Sundays during Ramadan, the toll will remain Dh4 throughout the day (7 AM – 2 AM) and free from 2 AM to 7 AM.

Salik confirmed that the pricing method for passing through certain toll gates (e.g., Al Safa North and South, and Al Mamzar North and South) remains unchanged. Vehicles passing through these gates in the same direction within one hour will only be charged once.

Upcoming Changes in Parking Fees

Dubai’s Variable Parking Tariff Policy is set to take effect by the end of March 2025, introducing peak and off-peak rates for public parking spaces:

  • Morning Peak Hours: 8 AM – 10 AM
  • Evening Peak Hours: 4 PM – 8 PM
  • Premium Spaces: Dh6 per hour
  • Other Public Spaces: Dh4 per hour
  • Off-Peak Hours (10 AM – 4 PM and 8 PM – 10 PM): Rates remain unchanged.
  • Free Parking: From 10 PM to 8 AM and all day on Sundays.

Congestion Pricing for Event Areas

Starting February 2025, the Congestion Pricing Policy will be introduced for parking near event zones, with a fee of Dh25 per hour for public paid parking spaces. Initially, this policy will be implemented around the Dubai World Trade Centre during major events.
