- The front side of the coins displays the portraits of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
- The reverse side features the UAE’s logo, surrounded by the CBUAE’s name in Arabic and English, along with the Dh50 Coins value.
- These limited-edition coins, symbolizing recognition for sports excellence, have been exclusively dedicated to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award recipients and will not be available for public sale through the Central Bank.

The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has recently released a limited series of commemorative silver Dh50 coins, totaling 3,000 pieces, featuring the esteemed leaders of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Each coin, weighing 40 grams, showcases the faces of these prominent leaders on one side.

These special coins were minted to mark the 12th edition of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award, aimed at recognizing and celebrating noteworthy contributions in the sports sector, both locally and globally.

Dh50 Coins Features
Adorning one side with the images of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the coins also bear the UAE’s logo, surrounded by the Central Bank’s name in both Arabic and English, along with the coin’s denomination of Dh50.
Not For Sale
However, these unique coins, produced exclusively for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award, will not be available for sale through the Central Bank. Instead, they have been dedicated to the award and its recipients as a symbolic token of appreciation for their remarkable achievements in the field of sports, aligning with the UAE’s ongoing efforts to bolster its sports sector.
